More info on Presentation Day
Here is info from the Chairman of the club:
Just a final update on Presentation Day this Saturday 3-September at Montview Oval.
11am - soccer/cricket on the oval; equipment return
noon - BBQ (the works, sausages, bacon & eggs) & soft drinks 1pm - presentation of awards & trophies 2pm - pack up and go home
These are approximate times!
Shields for plaques will also be available for you (coach/manager) to pick up before the presentations and hand out to your team. We won't present all the shields individually - way too many and we'd all get soooooo bored.
As Mike said in an earlier email, there will be a Jumping Castle for the littlies all day.
The BBQ will cost about the same as usual, with all drinks $1.50.
Finally, *please* pass on this email to *all* your players and encourage them to attend. If the weather is kind to us it will be a lovely way to end the season.
We (the committee) look forwards to seeing you and your team on the day. Thanks,
Roger

Gala Day - Runners Up
What a day! And the boys played really well. We could have won the last game - it was that close. Down to a 1-0 loss versus North Sydney bears.
All the boys played very well and I'm very proud of their result this year!
Game results - 1st game 0-0 but won on corners
2nd game - 3-1 (i think)
The semi-Final against Greenwich was great with a 4-2 win!
Last game a 1-0 loss.
They were all very tired by the last game.
What a great day!

Last Game 2-2 Draw
It was a very tough game against Wahroonga 6W.
Didn't look like there were to be any goals in the first half, then Ryan came thru with a pearler! He timed it just right and placed it perfectly. One of the most skillful goal of the season!
Then in the second half 2 quick goals to our opponents - one in the air at head height right near the post, and the other one came of the leg of Luke (our goalie this half).
We were down 2-1 when Christian played performed magnificiently and got the drawing goal.
It was a fair result as the teams were very even.
All boys played very well on the day and a special mention must got to Christian for his captaining skills - telling the boys where to stand etc.
It was a great year - Undefeated! Gala day this weekend - Info to come next.

Contraversal Draw 1-1
What a great team Mt St Bernard are? One of their players was a little start indeed!
It was a shame that there was the issue with the goal scored when it should have been a throw-in, but the 1-1 result is a good indication of the comparision of the teams.
The team has scored 100 goals this year!
It was 0-0 at half time. Christian scored a fantastic goal, Micheal James had a great half in goals! All the boys played very well.
Last game this weekend :
13/8 Waroongha 6W 9:20 Karuah 4
and Waroongha 6W we have played before - and are a great team!

Regrading Done tonight - new opposition this weekend
A regrading was done tonight,
The next two games are as follows :
6/8 Mt St Bernard 6A 9:20 Montview 5
13/8 Waroongha 6W 9:20 Karuah 4
Mt St Bernard have only had 3 losses this season.
Training tonight only had 3 players show - Luke, Michael J and Christrian. It was a good training - a game against the 6C's but a bit dissappointing on the numbers - It's a first no show for many of our players though.
See you on Saturday!

15th Win, 1-0
It was a very hard game indeed! The defense was very tough - as was the ground (including big holes everywhere!). The opposition was a little rough - lots of hard tackles.
Kye was persuaded to go into goals in the second half and did an excellent job indeed!
3 passes - to Ryan then Christian then GOAL!
A few of our boys looked very tired. We have to make sure they get to bed early on Friday night and have a good breakfast Saturday morning.
This Thursday at training can everyone be on-time because I've tee'd up a game with the 6C's to see how we compare. I play in the Over 35's team with the 6C coach and we thought it'd be a great activity for the two teams.
We should be getting the photos handed out on Thursday too.
See you then! 2 Games left!
